
Today, I wanted to share this recipe for Irish Soda Bread with you.
Irish Soda Bread doesn’t use yeast; all of the leavening comes from the baking soda and buttermilk, which cause it to rise. I hope you enjoy!
Preheat oven to 350
Sift together
2-1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup bran
1/3 cup sugar
1-1/8 tsp salt
1 1/8th tsp baking soda
Stir in two cups buttermilk quickly - leave some lumps
Grease loaf pan.
Bake at 350 for about 1 hour
Makes one loaf
